How to protect critical maritime infrastructure? New tasks for the Polish Navy? Special Security Forum Szczecin Awards awarded!


    

     In West Pomerania, the infrastructure infrastructure has been completed with the energy performance of Poland. To incl. Świnoujście LNG terminal and the recently commissioned Baltic Pipe gas pipeline. Soon soon also soon at the terminal for new wind farms. How chronically this type of facility? This subject was discussed by the participants of the panels of national conferences from the Security Forum Szczecin series, organized on October 20 by the think tank Nobilis Media.
The key security in ensuring the security of this infrastructure for the state will be the following change in the additional right to perform the tasks of the Navy, tasks related to its protection for the protection of the Baltic Sea. The nationwide conference was attended by over 50: the Ministry of National Defense, the 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla, the Maritime University of Technology in Szczecin, the Naval Academy in Gdynia, as well as offshore wind farm developers.

All this kind of infrastructure is impossible, cannot be removed from all activities that have any rights to any security that is proprietary, or that you want security that you want to do to provide the infrastructure. Therefore, show that we act and treat this matter deadly, because there is a matter concerning our being or not in the context of our sovereignty. - For me, the most appropriate in a situation where the threats were interdependent with the services responsible for security - said Wojciech Zdanowicz, director of the Maritime Office in Szczecin. The representatives of the Polish Navy presented the role of new suppliers in the "Kormoran" mode in the protection of Baltic installations. Security Forum Szczecinn awards

This year, the think tank Nobilis Media awarded two special awards - the Security Forum Szczecin statuettes to the 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla from Świnoujście and the Doctrine and Training Center of the Armed Forces in Bydgoszcz. The awards are granted annually for activities for the benefit of Poland's defense and security. The awards were presented by the West Pomeranian Voivode, Zbigniew Bogucki, during the Security Forum Szczecin conference devoted to the protection of critical infrastructure and offshore wind farms.

The forces of the 8th FOW are well-trained, mobile, constantly present in the area of ​​the Baltic and North Sea in order to support activities ensuring the security of the state in times of peace. The main task of the 8th FOW is to defend and maintain the state's sea communication lines during crisis and war, and to prevent the country's maritime blockade. 8 of the FOW is intended to defend the interests of the state in Polish maritime areas, maritime defense of the coast and participation in the land defense of the coast in cooperation with other types of armed forces. An important task of the 8th FOW is also the elimination of munitions. Recently, a group of miners from the 13th Minesweeper Squadron from the 8th Coastal Defense Flotilla neutralized unexploded mines with a total weight of nearly 3,500 kg. The operation to neutralize the dangerous remains of World War II found in the Port of Gdynia lasted from Tuesday, October 4. There were, of course, many more such activities throughout the existence of the 8th FOW. This special award is a thank you, on behalf of the Nobilis Media think tank and the honorary patron of the Security Forum Szczecin of the Sejm National Defense Committee, the commander of the 8th FOW Commander Włodzimierz Kułagin and the entire staff of the 8th FOW for serving the country and promoting the country's defense and security.

The Doctrine and Training Center of the Polish Armed Forces is a unit directly subordinate to the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces and deals with, inter alia, allied and national standardization in the operational area (developing doctrines), as well as the search for new capabilities of the Armed Forces and the concept of military training. These tasks are focused on the modernization of the Polish Armed Forces and their compatibility with NATO armies. The Center conducts many analyzes related to the type of future conflicts and the way of conducting activities in military multi-domain operations. The Center is a think tank for the Polish Armed Forces, cooperates with many NATO institutions, universities, and other think tanks, it is a laboratory for collecting and exchanging information on defense, not only with military entities. These activities contribute to increasing Poland's security and building a modern Polish Armed Forces.
