Wind farms and critical infrastructure

We invite you to participate in the Security Forum Szczecin, which will take place on June 29 (Tuesday) in Szczecin at the Park Hotel, ul. Plantowa 1. The main topic of the conference is: Wind farms. Hybrid actions towards Poland. Security audit for state institutions, fuel and energy companies, offshore critical infrastructure and wind farms.

The patronage over the conference was assumed by the Chairman of the Parliamentary National Defense Committee, Michał Jach.

What are hybrid activities, do they pose a threat to the Polish maritime economy and our presence in the Baltic Sea? Are we ready to counter them? By its nature, hybrid conflict involves both conventional (armed) and unconventional (irregular) activities conducted below the threshold of war. It should be emphasized that conducting activities as part of a hybrid conflict may already take place in times of peace.

A careful observer can see that such hybrid activities are carried out very broadly and often paralyze decision-making processes in the countries affected by such activities. They include cases of interference in the political processes of individual countries, the use of organized crime, various clubs, paramilitary groups, social organizations, foundations, state-owned corporations, special forces, and intelligence and security services to conduct information operations, exert influence on decisions made in individual countries or make cyber attacks.

We will always remind you that Poland's strong military and economic presence in the Baltic Sea is also the key to economic success and our position in Central Europe and the success of the Three Seas concept. Today, the Baltic Sea is considered to be the fastest growing reservoir in Europe. This is where gas pipelines intersect and increased supplies of crude oil carried out by PKN Orlen and liquefied gas for Poland and Central Europe. The construction of a new petrochemical complex by Grupa Azoty in Police will soon be completed, which, together with the LNG terminal in Świnoujście and the extraction of gas from the North Sea, will be a powerful facility for receiving and transporting raw materials via the Baltic Sea and building the economic independence of Poland and Central Europe.

Therefore, we invite you to participate in the Conference to build awareness of threats, but also to skillfully counter them.
